CHALLENGE
This automotive OEM used security system DVRs to conduct root-cause analysis. Depending on where issues happened on the line, operators needed to sort through footage across 6-10 closed network DVR systems to determine the root-cause. This process was very time-consuming and laborious to find actual footage for investigations. Due to these capacity limitations, this OEM was only able to investigate ~36% of daily defects.
SOLUTION
Invisible AI integrated with the OEM’s Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and Manufacturing Execution System (MES) data to link video footage with vehicle and process information, creating a searchable database. To conduct a root-cause investigation, operators can simply search for the VIN, time stamp, or any other tracked metric in the Invisible AI platform to surface a set of relevant videos.
